More about Stewart

Community Advocate

Stewart’s career, political work and community involvement has been defined by a commitment to building bridges.

Fluently bilingual in Canada’s two official languages, Stewart has worked for key Franco-Ontarian stakeholders throughout his professional career. He is an Indigenous Canadian (Metis Nation of Ontario) and a long-time friend of our cultural communities, serving as founding organizer for the annual commemoration for the Rwandan Genocide against the Tutsi at Queen’s Park.

Stewart hopes to modernize our Party and make inroads to young voters, Indigenous communities and new Canadians while staying true to our core beliefs in small government, strong families and pride in our great country. A man of faith, Stewart is regular attendee at his local church. As a lover of Canada’s outdoor traditions, he is an active member of the Canadian Shooting Sports Association.

On a more personal note, Stewart has recently emerged from a years-long battle with cancer, and with a renewed sense of gratitude and purpose. Stewart has recommitted himself to a life of learning and seeking new adventures, while always leading a life of service.
